I had the Mirena fitted at this clinic by Dr Ghosh in July. This is my second Mirena, the first was fitted at the local hospital and I had fabulous results with regards to the control of extremely heavy/irregular and painful periods. I had to have this removed as it had been in place for 5 years and I decided to take a short break to monitor the current state of my periods. Still the same if not worse, I was advised by my local doctors surgery that I could have another Mirena fitted but did not need to visit the hospital as I could now have this procedure @ the clinic in Batley.
Although my first coil was a great success, the actual fitting was very painful and I was not only nervous but dreading my appointment. I soon found out that my fears were unfounded. Dr Ghosh made me feel at ease as he knew exactly how I was feeling and what I was going through, explaining my symptoms to me just as I would have, assured me that I was in very safe hands. This being a small clinic it felt so much more personal than trailing around the hospital corridors. I was treated with the utmost respect and Dr Ghosh explained the whole procedure to me in detail. Then his assistant talked me through it step by step as the Doctor fitted the Mirena ( slight discomfort but painlessly I might add).
It has taken a while for it to settle down but the results are again fantastic and I am very pleased with the treatment I received. For anyone suffering the way I was, please dont! ask your GP to refer you to Dr Ghosh at this clinic and please consider the Mirena. It has changed my life for the better.
I would also like to add that on each of my visits to the clinic ( consultation/fitting and follow up check ) there was no long waiting, I was seen on time.
