What I liked
This is on behalf of my 76yr old mum who was terrified of going into the RUH Bath.
We couldn't fault her treatment...such a huge improvement from a previous occasion with my Dad back in 2009.
All the staff worked fabulously together from the doctors through to the night porter who made sure that when we left we had the contact information for the morning phone call - he wrote the section and bed number on the back which must of helped reception and nurses know who we were calling about - however small the detail is like this, it must make a smoother, smarter working environment...happy staff, happy patients, happy relatives.
It was all very clean in every area and this particularly stood out.
All the nursing team were wonderful - something I couldn't of said back in 2009!
The whole feel of the hospital has changed for the better and has been noted by many other members of my family which is why we felt the need to do feedback - credit where credit is due!
My mum had excellent, prompt treatment and had returned back home after a 3 day stay - we were all very happy with the outcome - a big thanks to you all. Keep up the excellent work you all do.
What could be improved
...I believe if you're ill at the 'weekend' you're experience may not be quite so good as many departments close until Monday.
There are many industries now that fully operate 24/7 with no enhanced payment as it's just part of their working week!...
"The stay in the RUH hospital was very good, long..."
