What I liked
Nothing, after taking my wife to A & E with a suspected DVT, we arrived at CDU. There was a consultant and staff nurse sat on the desk who completely ignored us and a medical student who was as good as a spare part. After nearly ten minutes, the staff nurse deemed to take my wifes name and tols us to take a seat when we would be seen by somebody. After three and a half hours, he showed my wife to a cubicle and then was not able to take any blood as he didn't feel confident. Most af the staff including the consultant, appeared to wander around aimlessly, however after a further two hours he did manage to get us for a scan. The ultrasound operator had no knowledge of my wifes condition and called a colleague to have a look as they had never seen it before! We were eventually let go after almost five and a half hours. If this is the best service we can expect from the NHS and consultanys and doctors, god help us all!
What could be improved
Being acknowledged and not left in a waiting room, being a number.
Anything else?
The only people who appeared to be doing any work, was a lady serving lunches.
"I was disgusted with the attitude of staff and..."
