What I liked
I chose the whittington for my maternity care. Unfortunately this ended in a 'missed misscarriage'. I found staff very friendly and sympathetic, but not good at communicating what would happen when they sent me home. Subsequently I was rushed to a+e having lost too much blood.
I also found the facilties, although up to scratch, to be like a rabbit warren or maze. When you are in a rush to get to an appointment it makes life very difficult trying to find the department, especially the maternity department which is located in a random part of the building which can only be reached by certain lifts (!)
I will not choose the whittington for my next pregnancy (if lucky enough) as I find it difficult to park and find the departments. If you live locally and have a normal pregnancy then I am sure they would be great, but in a crisis I found them difficult to deal with.
What could be improved
Design of the building.
Honesty and communication.
"Not the best, but not the worst."
