"Now I'm cured from Hep-C I owe my life really to the nurses at "

About: New Victoria Hospital (Glasgow)

(as the patient),

I went through 48 weeks of Interferon and ribavirin treatment for Hep-C geno 1. I was very ill during the treatment and needed 24 hour support. Dr. Datta was the specialist although Christine McTaggart (nurse) and Lesley Graham both liver specialists helped me through this invasive and horrible treatment, If it wasn't for the constant support I may have quit as I was very ill. Then after 72 weeks Christine Munro (nurse) told me the news that the hep-C was gone and I was cured. They gave me life when I only thought of miserable death caused by my old self and addiction. Now I'm cured I owe my life really to Christine McTaggart.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your very kind feedback.

I will ensure that this is passed on to those involved and I am sure that they will be very pleased to read your comments.

I am sorry that this posting was not acknowledged at the time, we had a break in our use of Patient Opinion, but we have now resumed doing so, and I thought it was still important to acknowledge your posting and where appropriate to pass comments on.

Once again, thank you for using the Patient Opinion feedback system, it is greatly appreciated.

I know Dr Datta and the team at the Victoria who cared for you on your recovery will be delighted to read your very thoughtful remarks.
