"Singing staff at East Surrey Hospital"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

Spent a few hours in A &E at East Surrey hospital last night with my partner.

A&E staff were either whistling or singing, they were so quick and friendly. The porter, Ian was so nice and rushing about.

I am responsible for everything to do with facilities, estates and IT. This includes our £50m building programme, food, cleaning, estates, porters, telephones, IT, transport, car parks and anything similar. Also leading our new Patient Experience Programme.

Dear Hunnyc

Than you very much for your kind words about the A&E department here at East Surrey Hospital.

Ian, the porter you mentioned, is a real asset to the A&E department and the Trust and really is a fantastic example of someone who is always thinking about others. I know that I will be seeing Ian later and will pass on your very nice comment.

Regards

Ian

Dear Hunnyc

Thought you'd be interested to know that last night we had our annual staff awards ceremony and Ian - the porter - was voted Joint Frontline Employee of the Year.

Clearly the voting took place before your experience, but it was really nice getting your comment on the same day as the presentation.

Regards

Ian
