"Tooth extraction at William Harvey - frustrated."

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Maxillo-Facial surgery

(as the patient),

2 teeth to be extracted under general, because my dentist cannot remove them.

Over 12 months later and 5 cancelled dates - then appointment made for surgery at Kent and Canterbury for mid October.

Now found out appointment does not exist. The surgeon only operates on Fridays, not Wednesdays, so outpatients appt made for surgery which I havn't had.

Waiting list co ordinator has not returned phone calls and the surgeons adminstration staff have not taken responsibility to sort it out. PALS say they will give an answer and but havn't. What a complete and utter shower!

I dont work for the NHS but I'm sure I could do it better myself.

Dear sir or madam, I am really sorry that you have experienced delays in our dental services. If you would like to email me on Julie.pearce1@nhs.net and let me have your details, I will discuss your case with the manager responsible for the service to ensure that the appointment runs more smoothly.

I do apologise, this is not the standard of service that we would expect to provide.
