"Lack of information re: appointment with dietician but found the open day good"

About: Adult community services / Nutrition and dietetics

(as the patient),

I have been a coeliac for a very long time and really to be honest did not gain any information for the appointment that I had with the dietician.

To be kept informed on any new foods that are available on prescription would be very helpful. I also found the 'open day' good and will attend the one to be held at the Carlton Park Hotel on the 1st November.

As part of my role, I support clinical services who undertake patient and public involvement on behalf of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust which helps us to develop or redesign our services with patients in mind, from the valuable feedback we are given.

Dear Lively66, thank you for your posting on the Patient Opinion web site. We appreciate patient feedback and are pleased to learn that you found the ‘open day’ helpful to you and that you will be attending the next one on the 1st November. We found that patients enjoyed the first one last year and are hoping that we can have this on an annual basis.

To enable access to the prescribing budget it is important that we offer an annual appointment with the Dietitian as required by Rotherham PCT for anyone with a long term condition. It is an opportunity to discuss issues you may have as well as discuss compliance and new products available. The appointment is for your support so if you feel that you can improve on the service we provide please discuss with the Dietetic team at the open day

With best wishes,

Grace
