About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I find this service totally ineffectual.

As of early September I had no appointment for hospital treatment. If I had not dialled 999 in mid August, and undergone heart surgery before the end of September, I doubt I would be alive to make this comment.

Many thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. I am sincerely dissapointed that you find the TRAQS service totally ineffectual. TRAQS is a new service for the patients of Telford and Wrekin, we manage your referral from your GP. Once your referral is ssent to us we will contact you and discuss the options of hospital available to you. It is your choice of which hospital you choose to be seen in, which you may have discussed with your GP at the time of being referred. If you choose a hospital where there are no appointmetns available at the time of booking TRAQS will be unable to book your appointment and you will be placed on the waiting list a t the chosen hospital. TRAQS manages your referral we do not have any control regarding the availability of hospital appointments. Appointments are published to us by the hospital however if they dont have any available then we cant offer you any, appointments are manged by hosptial not TRAQS.
