What I liked
I appreciate that my referral was treated as an urgent one and was seen by a specialist within a very short period of time.
What could be improved
I was 12 weeks pregnant at that time and after having gone through my profile and having reported I was a nutritionist and a yoga teacher, I was asked whether I smoke. I replied no and the consultant asked me if I had quit twelve weeks ago. He did the same with alcohol, which I found very offensive as he was implying that I had smoked and consumed alcohol regularly and quit when I found out I was pregnant. Even if i did, I do not think he can make comments like that.
I was told that the fact I am anemic is my fault because I do not eat meat (I am a vegan).
"The consultant was obtuse and made disrespectful..."
