What I liked
Went in for an induction (my choice) at T+11. Treated with friendly midwife from the beginning. Unfortunately, things did not go to plan and baby did not like the prostin tablets that was given as part of the induction and his heart rate kept falling. Transferred to delivery suite within 20 mins of starting the induction and was closely monitored then. Regularly updated by Midwife and Registrar on-call overnight. Despite a busy ward, offered regular analgesia and water top ups. I had to have an emergency c-section 12 hours later as things did not improve. The Consultant on call and senior registrar came to explain what was going on and made me feel that I was a priority. Things moved quickly and I had the surgery very quickly once the decision had been made. Everyone was extremely friendly and reassuring and made what was a stressful situation so much better. Excellent clinical care with good nursing care from the midwives.
What could be improved
