What I liked
From the receptionist to the discharging nurse, all the staff I encountered on the afternoon of 11/09/2012 were friendly, polite and very professional.
My praise is aimed particularly at the consultant, their supporting team of nursing staff, and the day surgery nurses who went out of their way to fit my short notice appointment in at the end of their long day.
At a very early stage it was announced that there was a delay in the appointment times; all patients were told of this and continued to be informed as accurately as possible of how this would affect them.
Questions were welcomed by all, and sound answers given immediately.
For the entire period I spent in the hospital I felt that my wellbeing, comfort and dignity were high on everyone's agenda.
In these days of knocking the NHS, I can only point to my experience as an example of how good a service can be provided by dedicated professionals.
What could be improved
I noted nothing that could have been improved.
Anything else?
On a previous visit to the hospital I was impressed with the quality of the staff's professional attitudes.
