"Treated extremely well at Crawley day surgery"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I went in for a hernia repair, I was treated extremely well treated from the receptionist to the nursing and medical staff. everybody was friendly and made me feel at ease. The department was clean, although the department was busy nothing seemed to be to much trouble. The procedure was explained to me very clearly in a way that I could totally understand, after the procedure I awoke in recovery where again I was treated well. when I was taken back to the ward I was offered tea/coffee sandwiches and biscuits which was served on an individual tray and a china cup and plate, this I thought was a really lovely touch. Unfortunately I have been a patient in a number of hospitals over the last few years but I have never received as good treatment as this any where else

Dear Rushams

You're quite right - it is the little things that make all the difference such as the china cup and plate! The team at Crawley are great and I'll pass your comments to them.

Kind regards,

Fionnula
