"Fantastic care at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Emergency Department at QAH and from there to the Medical Assessment Unit.

The care and cleanliness in both areas was fantastic and I felt fully informed about what was to happen to me and what the plan of care was to be.

Care from both doctors and nurses in both areas (and indeed porters, radiographers etc) was not only superb but delivered with genuine compassion, care, kindness, patience and thoughtfulness with everybody going the extra mile for their patients and appearing happy and cheerful in their work.

Pain relief was prompt and effective - and much appreciated. Absolutely brilliant.
