"Knee accident and subsequent operation"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust Royal Derby Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I slipped on some snowy steps in April 2012. Broke quadriceps tendon. Intense pain and could not move.

Rescued by ambulance, taken to Royal Derby Hospital. Operated on 24hrs later. Spent time on crutches followed by physio sessions. 6 months down the line and I am recovering well

Treatment and care at every stage was absolutely faultless and excellent, except for the food which was appalling.
