"Very disappointing"

About: Tameside General Hospital

What I liked

Very little

What could be improved

The doctor I was given was very rude and verbally over-powering towards about my symptoms, which increased my anxiety levels.

I then said to the doctor that I did not want her examining me because of the bad impression she gave in the first part of the appointment, and obviously I did not wish to put my trust in her. I told her to stay away from me.

Anything else?

So my problems are unresolved and for all I know something bad could be growing in my body. I don't understand why some doctors behave this way, as surely treating patients in a sensitive/professional way cannot be that hard.

I am now choosing to go privately because I have been failed.

“Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?

Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at John.Goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
