About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

What I liked

I brought a neighbour to A and E who was in terrific pain walking. The staff were very helpful and because of the pain she was seen immediately.

What could be improved

It would have been good not to be constantly worrying that I would get a ticket for parking near to the entrance of A and E whilst I got her settled.(I did ensure I was not blocking access for ambulances) The situation was stressful without this added worry.

Anything else?

Could not believe the car park charge of £3.Have just visited again since her admittance and was horrified to see empty car parks and many patients with no visitors at visiting time.I also talked to someone who said the charges meant she could only afford to visit 4 nights rather than 7.Disgusting-Where is the humanity! I would have thought that visitors played an important role in patient recovery.
