What I liked
I had to stay overnight for morning surgery, the staff were very quick to sort out putting me onto the Sarum ward, and the ward and beds were clean and well kept, apart from toilets (see below). Overall satisfied with my stay.
What could be improved
The toilets were clean however the windows were covered in spiders and as I cannot stand spiders, this was the one thing that really concerned me most. Safe to say I went back to my bed as fast as I could. The food was okay, I was pleasantly surprised that after the surgery I could have ravioli and some ice cream, the best bit of my stay! Although the night before, I was surprised to find that all their was to eat was cold packaged sandwhiches or a trip out of the ward, which could have been an issue had I already had the surgery. With the same sex accommodation, opposite me was a girl, and although I was happy with my curtains closed and iPod in, she may have felt uncomfortable with a ward full of boys.
Anything else?
Please get rid of spiders!! They are bad as I suffer from arachnophobia and the sight of hundreds of big spiders as I go to the toilet is not exactly pleasant.
"Nice ward, respectful staff, could do with someone..."
