I was a patient at Liverpool's Walton Hospital on Surgical Unit B for the treatment of varicose veins. The standard of medical care was good, as was the care which I received from the nursing staff - they were very friendly and put me at ease. Before my operation, I received a personal visit from the surgeon and anaesthetist - this, I feel, was one of the best things about my experience at the Walton hospital.
