I stayed at the City Hospital in Nottingham on Ashwell ward and was treated for Anemia, Pulmonary Embolism, plus a typical chest infection.
I had a complete medical problem which necessitated a stay for 11 - 12 days. It was comforting to know that my condition was being monitored regularly.
My condition deteriorated for the first few days in hospital due to the delay in receiving the appropriate medication.
The moral of the staff seemed on the whole, very good. Being a vegetarian I found the food perfectly acceptable. The auxiliary staff under sometimes difficult circumstances were very caring.
I would like to thank the staff nurses Jo and Danielle who were particularly good on the Ashwell ward.
"As a vegetarian I found the food perfectly acceptable"
