What I liked

The reception staff, nurses and general environment are very good. I could not find fault. Very clean waiting area, easy parking, short waiting times. My main criticism is with the doctor i saw. He offered a treatment that i asked some very reasonable questions about (having already researched it before going) and i felt he was somewhat dismissive of my concerns and slightly patronising. The questions related to information gained from NICE guidelines to best practice. This led to me feeling a lack of confidence in him. And i am only too aware that the success of a treatment largely depends on the knowledge, experience and skill of the practioner(s) carrying it out. When will doctors learn to expect patient questions and in return provide honest, reassuring answers backed by good evidence? Having sought further second opinions from other practioners about the treatment he offered, i was all the more concerned about this doctor's approach. As a result i decided not to go ahead with the treatment under this doctor. So i am still tackling the same problem...
