"Professional, caring, co-ordinated, inspiring..."

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead)

What I liked

I have been under the care of QVH since April 2011, when I was diagnosed with cancer. My diagnosis was given to me with sensitivity and care and since then, I can honestly say I have received the most professional, joined-up and excellent care. I have experienced surgery, physiotherapy, counselling, speech therapy, eye surgery, dietary advice and aesthetic procedures and at all stages I have been kept informed and have always been treated like a person as well as a patient.

The standard of care, from the ward cleaners to surgeons, has been professional yet caring. All my questions (and there have been many!) have been taken seriously and these busy people have taken time to reassure my family and me at every stage.

I feel very lucky to have experienced this wonderful treatment and am filled with confidence every time I visit. Thank you to all the dedicated and hard-working staff.

What could be improved

Can't think of anything, seriously.

Anything else?

This hospital is a jewel in the NHS's crown. Please don't change its almost cottage-hospital, quaint feel, which belies the cutting-edge treatments it provides.
