"my experience at tameside maternity"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I had high blood pressure to the end of my pregnancy and after many day trips to the hospital for blood pressure profiles it was decided that they would induce me. After being admitted to ward 27 my baby finally arrived two days later. I had a fairly straight forward birth then I had some complications but the midwife talked me through what was happening and kept me calm, I felt like I was in good hands. I was then kept in hospital for another two days. I cannot complain about the care me or my daughter recieved. all the staff were fantastic

Thank you for your posting about our maternity services. I am very pleased that you were happy with the care you received from all the staff and felt you were in ‘good hands’. I will ensure that all the maternity staff are aware of your kind words.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family well.

Thank you

We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at john.goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
