"General good impression specific admin problem..."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

What I liked

Clean new clinic friendly staff.

What could be improved

There is a major problem at this department probably caused at root by insufficient resources but severely hampered by poor administration and internal communication.

I have been told by specialists on several occasions that I need to be seen again in a specified number of months and also told that it I have not been notified of my appointment date three months after the specified time to ring the hospital. I have had to ring the hospital every time. I am not alone in this other patients have told me of the same experience. One was told by an optician to ring the hospital - to be sure you ' are still in the system'. My doctor says the admin tartion fails in this way 'as often as not'
