"Good standard of care but understaffed at Aintree Hospital"

About: University Hospital Aintree / General medicine

(as the patient),

For the last 2 months, I was a patient at Aintree Hospital in Liverpool, as I had an infection in my arm. I felt that the standard of medical care was good - I was particularly pleased about being kept informed as to what was going on regarding treatment. Nothing could have been better on the medical side of things, but waiting times could have been shorter and it appears that there needs to be more staff employed within each department of the hospital.

One thing which did annoy me, though, was that on one occasion there was no toilet paper in the toilet for almost 3 days. I had to ask someone to do something about this. it wasn't very hygienic.
