"Podiatry Appointment"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Podiatry

(as the patient),

I have recently been referred to the Podiatry Service by my GP. Within a couple of weeks from seeing my doctor I received a letter from the staff at Cleckheaton Health Centre acknowledging the referral and asking me to contact them for an appointment.

I believe I spoke to a lady named Claire who was very courteous and extremely helpful - she explained the service and what I was required to bring to the appointment. I was seen 4 weeks later at Dewsbury Health Centre.

Thank you for letting us know about your positive experience. Paul Rhys-Vivian, Team Leader for Podiatry says the following in response;

"This feedback is really useful as we have recently altered our new patient appointment system.

When a referral is received we send a letter to the patient to inform them that they have been referred to Podiatry and that they should contact us to arrange an appointment. This system now enables patients to choose an appointment time which is suitable to them. This in turn means reduced wasted visits for staff and shorter waiting times for the patient. We are really pleased this new system worked well for you."
