"Cardiology Outpatients Clinic - not happy with waiting times"

I had an appointment on Thursday with my Cardiologist, after the Hospital cancelled my 2 previous appointments. My appointment was at 11am, but I wasn’t seen till 12.10, and then I wasn’t seen by my usual doctor, but by the Registrar, after he saw how long I had been kept waiting.

My doctor saw 2 patients at my appointment time, who didn't seem to have appointments but just turned up, and a nurses asked if my doctor could make time to see them. I felt annoyed, because I was left wondering if I had just turned up and asked to see my doctor I would have been seen!.

If these 2 people had a medical emergency I could understand, but they seemed fine to me and were off home whilst I was still stuck waiting.

I was bad when I got home, due to not having my lunch on time, which is important because of my Diabetes.

I read that Cwm Taff Health Board is hoping to improve things at the Cardiology Dept at Prince Charles Hospital. But I think they need to work harder on the speed of being seen at Outpatients Clinic.
