"Long wait at Whiston Hospital"

I was recently admitted to A & E at Whiston Hospital in Liverpool and found the whole experience unacceptable. I was struck by a severe pain to my head, disturbed vision, low temperature and high blood pressure. A doctor arrived promptly & sent me straight to hospital for a scan. In total, I then waited for 11 hours for a scan, which eventually I was told would "take too long" and so was sent home without having it done. I was very angry with this treatment!

Any comment as to why I was given such treatment would be appreciated.
