"The most comfortable hospital stay I could have..."

What I liked

I cannot praise the staff of Mount Vernon hospital enough. All the staff are fantastic. I feel that the nurses work above and beyond their duties. They all work well together and have a good working environment and work together as a great team. They are helpful, professional and I was told off once as I didn't ask for help! The nurse said I must ask for help and that is what the nurses are there for. They have a wonderful attitude to caring for the patients. If I ever have to go into hospital again, I hope it is at Mount Vernon. The wards are single sex and are kept spotless. My bed was changed every day and the wards were thoroughly cleaned daily. I was well fed and kept hydrated with water and endless cups of tea. The staff are so friendly. My surgeon visited my three times in my 6 day stay. He showed genuine care for myself and the other lady he had performed surgery on, who was in the same ward as myself. I felt very well looked after and if I'd felt the need to request to see my surgeon, I don't doubt he would have visited again. I don't know how he fits everything into one day! There is not one thing I can complain about. Thank you to all the staff on Trinity Ward. A truly amazing team!
