"A&E a bad experience"

What I liked

Receptionist were friendly

What could be improved

Actually aware of patients needs for example in pain and requesting pain relief. Never getting any pain relief and lefted hours in pain.

Cleaner sharps boxes that actually have the sharps inside not nearly full and blood soak swabs sticking out of the near top. Yuk

To be given a cotton wool and tape after loos test not to be left without and arm bleeds all over your clothes

Compassion not treating patients like a number

Less gossip and focusing more on getting a patient better.

Receptionist staff to be more alert instead of eatting bags on sweets behind the desk and talking gossiping. When you ask for pain relief or how long the wait? They look at you like your rude for disturbing their gossiping.

Anything else?

A&E used to be very good and I was always pleased with their care. In the past few years it's just got worse long waiting times unstandable considering its a A&E, but leaving patients in pain, being messed about, attitude from staff and staff who just gossip. It's just not good. I'm sure there has been good experiencing but there are some bad.
