"Unhelpful & discourteous nursing staff."

What could be improved

I rang the Gynaecological ward, to enquire after a family member. Nobody was in a rush to pick up the phone. Finally got through on my fifth attempt, after waiting for an hour to retry. Was meet with a monosyllabic, unresponsive & hostile tone, in answer to my questions after a patient's health. Was very much made to feel like an unwelcome nuisance. Finally, neither was my message passed on to my relative, so, zero out of five for effort. In only confirms what I had already heard about the nursing staff being arrogant & conceited and generally, all round unpleasant.
