What I liked
I went in for Gallbladder removal and was very impressed by the care and expertise of the Upper GI Surgery team and my surgeon. Everyone I came into contact with from receptionists, admin staff, nurses, porters, my surgeon and anesthetist were professional, caring and gave me great confidence. Having lived in the US for many years where I had a surgery at a top hospital privately I can honestly say that my NHS experience at UCH was better. I was somewhat wary of this operation being done as a day surgery case but was given plenty of time and care in recovery and several hours afterwards on the ward and at no point felt rushed to leave and was only allowed to leave when I was fully able, all checks had been made and aftercare instructions had been given.
What could be improved
Can't think of anything negative.
Anything else?
Thank you to the team at UCH
