What I liked

My Dad, at 75 years old, fell and broke his hip. The surgeon assessed him as needing a full hip replacement. Thank you. He is doing your surgery proud. 3 weeks later, he is home and he is mobilising well and I am glad you recognised in my proud, determined dad that he would benefit from the type of surgery you performed.

The physio also recognised that he was an individual and allowed him to use the zimmer frame instead of the hand crutches. This did require some persuasion from my dad. I asked my dad why the physio was so keen for him to use the hand crutches. He wasn't sure, all he knew was, because his blood pressure was very low, he didn't feel the hand crutches would be much use if he felt unsteady. I said that it may be something to do with posture... he has made sure he has a good posture and showed me how he used the zimmer without hardly touching it now his blood pressure is more stable. I think the physio who sees him in the community will be pleased with him.

Thankyou! I'm sure he wasn't always the easiest of patients, but he will make the most of the hip you have given him.

What could be improved

I hadn't seen him since he fell, until this weekend ( I live a distance away) so I can't comment on any of the facilities etc, except the food apparently wasn't great.
