"Very helpful and caring, when I was a nervous..."

About: Torbay Hospital

What I liked

I had a cataract removal and had put off going as I was so nervous about the procedure.I was sure that it would not be possible for me to have the general anaesthetic I wanted, but when I asked about it,it was acceptable to do this. The relief was enormous and had I known this was possible before,I would not have waited so long. All went well on the day of the operation, and I am now recovering well, and hoping I can do the same again for the cataract on my other eye.All the staff, medical and non-medical, were extremely kind, and treated me very well.I have nothing but praise for everyone at the eye surgery unit-thank you all for your kindness and care.

I would wholeheartedly recommend the department to anyone.

What could be improved

Nothing-all was excellent.
