What I liked
I needed to have bladder cancer treatment which involved chemotherapy followed by major surgery. The care I recieved was wonderful. Everyone, from the Senior medical team to the people who cleaned the wards were so kind, positive and supportive. They all worked so hard and were very dedicated to their work. Nothing was too much trouble for the anyone.
What could be improved
There were some nursing staff shortages on the ward [Sovereign] but the nurses worked hard to ensure that the patients needs were met, they were often run off their feet at times but never complained to us patients.
Anything else?
I have only good things to say about my treatment and care at Eastbourne District General Hospital particularly from the Onclogy and Urology staff. I cannot thank everyone involved enough. I have recently been told by the Consultant that the cancer has gone and I will just need to have regular check ups in the forseeable future. Keep up the excellent work.
