"Good nursing care but shortage of staff at Royal Bolton Hospital"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was admitted to A & E at the Royal Bolton Hospital with chest pains last December. The nursing care I received was good, despite their being a shortage of staff. It could have been better if there was not such a long wait at Ward D1.The cleanliness of the hospital ward was good, and I was treated with respect and dignity, but more effort could have been made to explain to me exactly what was going to happen with regards to my treatment.

We are very pleased to hear that you had good care while you were in hospital. D1 is a very busy ward, but we do understand the importance of keeping patients well informed about their treatment. We will pass your comments on to the relevant staff.
