What I liked
The midwife was very pleasant.
What could be improved
The waiting room is filthy and noisy, there seems to be no policy against mobile phone use.
Eating also seems to be permitted, meaning there's food packets and spillages everywhere.
Not enough seats, or seats all taken up with small children, so pregnant women have to stand.
A two hour waiting period seems to be considered normal, so why not just make the appointment two hours later?
Staff were rude.
Nurse who took blood pressure was rude and got angry with me because she got my name wrong.
No communication between staff.
Anything else?
I was told at my 20 week scan that I would be sent a letter in "the next few weeks" to confirm my next appointment, I am now almost 26 weeks pregnant and still have heard nothing.
When I try and call nobody answers the phone.
My concerns about my pregnancy (this is my first pregnancy and I suffer from severe depression) have been dismissed as "typical pregancy" despite the fact I have such severe back pain it affects my ability to walk.
I am so unhappy with the treatment that I am actually seeking a referral to a different hospital.
"Awful. Just glad I don't have to give birth there."
