"Fantastic care in maternity unit!"

What I liked

We attended the maternity unit at PAH in early March for the birth of our daughter. We can't say enough about how wonderful the staff were to us throughout what was a lengthy labour that ended in EMCS. I was very clear in my birth plan about my wishes to have an epidural during labour and this was given to me as soon as I asked for it. All the staff we came in contact with were brilliant - from delivery ward to theatre to recovery to post-natal.

What could be improved

Extra staff on the post-natal ward would be good, but in times of cutbacks this is difficult. Staff are managing well under challenging circumstances!
