What I liked

All the staff I was involved with were brilliant, friendly and smiling. Nothing was too much trouble. I chose not to have general anaesthesia but opted for a nerve block, this takes longer to administer but I was never made to feel that I had made the wrong desicion. The anaesthetist explained to the theatre staff what she was doing which meant I knew also; she was with me through the whole of the surgery and we chatted and laughed the whole time. Recovery staff were also brilliant. The surgeon was fantastic from the first visit to the end of the operation, a very neat job.
