What I liked

We had to visit A and E twice in one night with my son who had dislocated his shoulder. He was treated throughout with care, kindness and respect, and was reassured throughout. The care he received was excellent. Thank you to all the staff, but especially the doctor who put his shoulder back the second time!

What could be improved

Facilities in the waiting area.

Our Emergency team at Barrow will be delighted to hear of your appreciative feedback and that you feel your son received such a high level of professional care. We will ensure that your comments are passed to the medical director and the director of nursing to inform their teams accordingly. We will also pass on your comments regarding potential improvements to facilities in the waiting area.

We place great value in the fact that local people continue to choose our hospitals and we openly encourage patients and visitors to give us their feedback. This will enable us to continually improve the services we offer and the experience our patients have whilst in our hospitals.
