"Helped by the heart failure nurse"

About: Locala Community Partnerships CIC / Heart failure team

(as the patient),

I have been treated by the health service since 1983 and I have always received decent treatment.

I member of the acute heart failure team (based at Dewsbury) comes to the house and he has helped me in so many ways. He takes the time to explain things fully to me, even though it is clear he is very busy. I feel like he treats me as a person not just part of a queue to get through. I can call on him when I need help or am worried. I have not felt like that with other healthcare staff, not even doctors.

The service from the Acute Heart Failure Team has been brilliant. I do think the area needs more heart failure nurses. In my opinion they take the strain of doctor surgeries as they can explain things to you.
