What I liked

The staff on both the induction bay and labour ward were fantastic- polite, calm, friendly and helpful. They made what could have been a stressful and worrying experience seem normal and dealt with all my questions and concerns very professionally. All the staff were lovely- midwives, health care assistants, doctors etc. When I had a hemmorage staff responded quickly and efficiently and I felt well looked after at all times.

What could be improved

I felt that although the staff on the postnatal ward did their best they were a little overwhelmed and found it hard to make time for all the new mums and babies.

It was very kind of you to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff. It was reassuring to hear that you thought all the staff acted in a professional manner at all times and were willing to answer any questions you had, and that you felt well cared for. I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts to all the midwives and the staff involved.

Thank you also for your constructive comments about the post natal ward, your experience will help us to think about how we can make sure we meet the needs of mums and their babies at this important time.
