What I liked
I want to wholeheartedly recommend the excellent physiotherapy services at the Princess Anne Maternity Hospital. Having had minimal care in my previous pregnancies (due I believe to shortage in funding), where I essentially was given pain management advice and a belt, and ultimately crutches when I could hardly walk towardsd the end, my recent experience was amazing. I had been told that my pelvic pain was likely to increases with subsequent pregnancies, and that i would very Likely end up in a wheel chair third time round. Therefore I very quickly went to visit the physio department as soon as I had any pain this time in the first trimester. My physio was wonderful. They reassured me that with proper care, I did. Not have to suffer as I was led t believe was inevitable. They gave me exercises to do, recommended that I apply heat, and gave me several sessions of manipulative therapy to relax the tight muscles. After my first session, I could sleep comfortably for the first time in weeks. As I approached my third trimester, friends and family were amazed that I was still mobile and comfortable. In short, my quality of life was remarkably enhanced. I am indebted to my physio for their time and efforts and expertise. I have 2 young children, and I d not know how I would have managed without her intervention and help. Thank you so much.
Please please pass my comments on to the person runs this department - it is a credit to them and the hospital. Also of CPUs I would love if my physio themselves had my feedback. Thank you.
What could be improved
My only thought re improvement is that the smaller of the treatment rooms has no sound proofing and when waiting outside, patients can hear everything being discussed in the room.
"Amazing and life changing physio services."
