What I liked
I arrived at the emergency department at 0900, and within an hour, I had checked in, been seen by the minor injuries sister, sent for X-rays, and then been seen by the emergency nurse practitioner. I was really astonished by the speed and efficiency of the care delivery.
Everybody involved in my care was polite and helpful, and they all seemed highly competent.
The waiting room was extremely clean and calm, not that I had to spend long there.
They arranged for me to have a follow up appointment today, two days later, at the hand clinic. Again, the staff were professional and courteous, especially the nurse on duty at the clinic and the surgeon who redressed my hand.
The West Wing itself, where the hand clinic was held, was clean and nicely decorated.
Even the food at the restaurant in the main hospital was really nice!
What could be improved
I did have to wait for quite a long time to see the surgeon this morning. But to be fair, the nurse told me it would be a while, and said I could leave and get something to eat instead of waiting there. And I don't really know how you could improve that - it's Monday, and the clinic was busy. I'm sure they were going as fast as they could.
"Brilliant care, delivered efficiently by kind..."
