"Unpleasant hearing test and lack of information"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

What I liked

I was suffering from hearing-related problems and some possible hearing loss so I went for a hearing test and consultation with an ENT specialist at this hospital. The hearing test lasted for around ten minutes and was very unpleasant actually worsening the hearing problems which I was suffering from (tinnitus and hyperacausis).

Then when I went for the consultation afterwards I got no information on the hearing test which I had just done so had to ask at the end of the consultation what the results were. "Oh you've suffered from some limited hearing loss" the consultant said in a dismissive manner. This was as much information as I received about the hearing test itself and I received no helpful information about how the problems I was suffering from might be treated.

What could be improved

see above.
