What I liked
I had an operation to remove an ovarian cyst in January and was in Ward 78 for 3 days. Every member of staff including nurses, healthcare assistants, consultants, doctors, catering and cleaning staff, and reception were very kind and caring. I felt that I was very well looked after and also informed about everything happening to me. I called the ward the day after I was discharged with a health question and the receptionist found out the answer & returned my call within 10 minutes. A month later I had a question for the consultant who returned my call within an hour.
I felt very lucky to have the NHS after this experience!
What could be improved
All three letters sent by the hospital to my central Bristol home address arrived very late which involved phone calls to find out important information including the time of my operation (the letter did not arrive until a day or so after the op!).
"Brilliant care and lovely staff"
