I was admitted to Stoke Mandeville hospital A&E department with severe abdominal pain by ambulance ,the crew were excellent and did not hesistate to provide me with effective pain relief (entonox and morphine) on route. However when I arrived i was made to feel that i was wasting time by the doctor . After a not very thorough examination they stated that my pain did not 'make sense' and actually asked me if i knew what it could be!!! . After this my blood was taken for tests but they did not think that it would show anything significant , my blood was taken around 3.30am and I was left alone and ignored untill about 8am, apparently the blood test results had not come through. I was in considerable pain as the morphine had worn off a long time ago and I was not offered any pain relief at all despite having a pain score of 8-9 .
