What could be improved
My husband was admitted on June 11th by A & E and staff there were wonderful and also on Acute ward but once admitted on Montpellier ward staff were very miserable with no communication and only a grunt answer if asked a question on tuesday June 12th. My husband was very unhappy and was scared of being in hospital and not knowing what was happening as even when his blood pressure etc checks were done no one would speak to him and he felt very ignored, this did improve the next day with a change of staff by the afternoon of June 13th but they were very slow at discharging my husband as i was told at 3pm going home but it was 6.45 before he went and only because he told them at 6.30 he was going at 7pm and not waiting any longer for an injection and for the medication to arrive (it had been ordered since 3pm what we were told)
He has previously been in Alstom ward and it was very different staff very helpful, cheerful etc and all questions given full answers
Anything else?
Other areas of the hospital i have used and have never found this kind of treatment to a person before as always been very couteous and helpful but am now wary about using Cheltenham.
"dont use Montpeller Ward"
