What I liked
I am not a geriatric patient, but the bed was available and the doctors on the ward were appropriate for me (i had been admitted via a and e). the attention paid to my description of symptoms was fantastic and the awareness of the best care possibilities was really helpful, keeping in mind a small child at home and an anxious husband.
What could be improved
I felt left a bit cold upon leaving, as things that seemed vital during my stay were now relegated to 'if i can get a gp appointment' and 'wait for a letter from neurology'. at this time of feedback, three weeks, i've not been able to schedule a gp appointment nor have i heard from neurology for follow up. this is all the nervewracking stuff.
Anything else?
The crew on Ward 41 was really really good to me, and almost without exception cared about the individual patients on the ward, regardless of how trying or repetitive or lost the patients were. Thanks, guys!
