"excellent customer service at Southern General"

About: Southern General Hospital

(as a relative),

I felt I should let you know that tonight whilst arriving at the Southern General after hastily following a ambulance from Crosshouse hospital containing my aunt after having a major stroke I found myself lost and unaware of what direction in the hospital the ambulance crew had took my aunt.

I walked into the MRI unit reception and explained my dilema and a Mr David Laird and Mr Chris Green had stated that I was in the wrong ward and proceeded to keep me calm and go way beyond the call of duty by calling all appropriate wards to see if they could help.

After a few calls they struck no joy, but still they were not going to send me away without helping and then blew me away by picking up the phone to Crosshouse hospital to find out my aunt's intended destination. They then traced her to ward 67 and even escorted me to the lift.

I have never in all my years experienced such a level of customer care and I hope that you will let Mr Laird and Mr Green know that I thank them dearly.

best wishes

Thank you for sharing your recent experience at the Southern General Hospital. I was delighted to read your very kind remarks and I am sure that both individuals will be thrilled to read your feedback.

It means so much to staff to read these comments and I was very glad that they were able to assist you at what must have been a very stressful time.

Thanks again for taking the time and trouble to provide this - it is greatly appreciated.

Paul
